Banana Lumpia - Filipino Snack or Dessert
By CZCZCZ
Banana is for dessert in the Philippines
Banana lumpia is an affordable dessert or snack that is enjoyable to eat. Despite being fried in oil at least it is a banana so has some good qualities for your daily food intake. :) It is a banana that is wrapped in a lumpia wrapper which is like an egg roll wrapper and then it is fried in hot cooking oil, however I prefer the taste of olive oil and find it still gets hot enough to fry adequately. While a halo halo or mango float is an excellent choice when seeking a sweet dessert banana lumpia can be very filling and keep you full late into the night. This treat is also great as just a regular snack in the middle of the day, but leave off the extra sugar or ice cream toppings.

Hiya CZ, fried bananas is one of my favourites. My sister-in-law always add langka (I'm not sure if that is the correct name, it's yellow and stingy). Now I want some fried bananas. lol We have plantain bananas here and I just put it in the microwave for two minutes to cook.. am too lazy to fry, but I think I'll go visit my brother this weekend for some maruya. Great job. Voted up and definitely useful.
Have a nice day,
Rosie
